Beyond her stellar performance career, Charito is a visionary philanthropist and cultural catalyst. As the founder of the non-profit organization Because We Care, she spearheads vital charitable initiatives supporting vulnerable children across Japan and the Philippines.

In 2012, she founded the Tokyo-Manila Jazz and Arts Festival (TMJAF) to celebrate decades of deep musical and historical ties between the two nations. Now an enduring institution, TMJAF champions international cultural exchange and actively nurtures the next generation of young musical talent.
